Hero Forge

Post by arthyn » Sun Dec 14, 2014 3:30 am

So Hero Forge finally launched a few days ago. My kids both went nuts with the build tool, and created minis for their two Hobbit's Rhanna and Wilbert. Now I just have to hide the box long enough to sneak them into their stockings.

Here's the link for anyone who hadn't heard about Hero Forge before!

Wow! I had heard about it, but was really uncertain about their ability to deliver. It seems interesting... are you getting the strong plastic or the fine detail?

I might try to make up some of my group's characters....

Great timing, as one of my players just yesterday sent a link he made up for his Hobbit:

These look pretty cool. I was thinking of stopping by a local Games Workshop to see if they had any cool miniatures. Are these pretty reasonably priced?

Pricing is $15 for strong (low-detail) plastic, $25 for for fine (more fragile) plastic. Actual production is through Shapeways, which is $5 shipping inside the US.

Thanks, zedturtle. I suppose I could have just checked out their website more thoroughly. Not bad at all for a custom mini of your own PC!
