If this item were to be found in the Hidden House, what attributes would you give to it, if any at all?

I wouldn't ascribe any attributes to it.

That part of the text never implies any magical powers per se :)

If Fram's Necklace of Scatha's Teeth was discovered to have any special attribute, I would suggest granting immunity to cold weather and/or resistance to magical, cold-based attacks.

It was given to the Dwarves when they asked Fram to return the dragon's gold to them, so if it is to be found anywhere it should be in Dwarven ruins.

About special properties, I'd give it increasing one difficulty level (maybe two) any social test involving Dwarves (if they regognise it). It would be like remebering them a past humiliation.

Interesting point of view. I never thought to give an actually negative attribute. Good idea! But I would still like to give one positive too, to make it sensible to wear.

Also according to the "Heart" it can be found most likely in the Hidden House, a hidden base for some dwarves who wanted to get the Scatha's treasures back for themselves.

Teeth of Scatha

This large necklace is made of the teeth of the Worm Scatha, who was killed by Fram, king of the Eotheod, nearly a thousand years ago.

The necklace is worth 10 Treasure, and when worn prominently, gives the following benefits:

+2 to Tolerance ratings with the Men of Rohan
+1 to Tolerance ratings with Bardings, Beornings, and Woodmen
-2 to Tolerance ratings with Dwarves

When making an Intimidate or Awe test against a Dragon, the wearer is allowed to roll the Feat die twice and take the better roll.

How's that?

Given the hate involved over this object, I would certainly consider it to be a "cursed item", with the possessor gaining a few Shadow Points plus the 'Dragon sickness' Shadow Weakness
