Anybody been playing Artificier of Eregion?

I've been playing a Dalish blacksmith in one of Zed's game, but I've been having Noldor-envy and daydreaming of a Noldor Scholar with Artificier of Eregion.

Anybody been playing a character with that ability long enough to have used it much? How are you finding it?
