So, I play The One Ring, but it is my friend who as the books. I was thinking about starting another play Group, but then i don't need the real books, just the PDFs as I plan hosting it over the internet. Is i any way to just get the PDFs, and if I have it, am I allowed to share it With my players?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Re: Regarding PDFs
All of the books are available through OneBookshelf (i.e. DriveThruRPG.com/RPGNow.com). But you are purchasing them for yourself. If your players need the rules, they need to buy their own copy. However, with the excellent online tools like Azrapses character builder I've found that I can add players who don't have the rules and bring them up to speed without too much trouble. When we do hit Fellowship Phases I just have to provide a little more guidance to them. But pretty much everyone who has played with me has ended up buying the rules even if they didn't have them to start.Bokvakk wrote:So, I play The One Ring, but it is my friend who as the books. Re: Regarding PDFs
I'm hoping that the Adventurer's Book will be something great for players to purchase (in other words, the basic rules, but not all the stuff for Loremasters).
I just had a brand new player join us. He was visiting from out of state, but is staying the holidays with some other gamer friends, so he enjoyed his first session and says he's looking forward to the second. We started out character creation via email, but he ended up going to DriveThru and purchasing the PDF to make it easier. I felt a little bad, as spending $30 American is a lot just for a single use or two. But on the positive side he liked the game, so it's nice that he has the game book now.

Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: Regarding PDFs
I second that. Without that sheet, we'd probably still be generating characters.
Re: Regarding PDFs
You know, I'd forgotten about that online generator. It is pretty awesome, but then I find it fun to sit down and make characters too.
That would have actually been perfect for making a character in this case. Oh well, like you said, instead we might have a convert!
