Game Recap - Death of the Werewolf

Post by windsurfjunkie » Tue Dec 30, 2014 7:41 am

This is my campaign's recap of the Killing of the Werewolf of Mirkwood. Please click on the link below for the game recap.
Some things you should know for the reading:
Theuderic is a Woodman character who married the Loremaster character Banna in Tales From Wilderland (a whole other story); the player temporarily left the campaign and thus the storyline in this recap because of his "Masters" work in University. The "couple" in the game settled in Mirror Pond, a farm (his Holding) just west of Rhosgobel, given to him for his valiant efforts against the Enemy.

Dorian is a Woodland elf who has Thranduil as a patron and has grown tremendously in his standing among the Woodmen because of his great assistance to Theuderic and the lands of the Southern Vales. He currently wields the ancient longsword "Tyrfang" whose bane is the wolves of Mirkwood.

Taborak is a dwarf from the Blue Mountains who travelled across the Misty Mountains in an answer to a notice he read in Bree, which promised great reward for dwarves willing to come and help mine at Mountain Hall, the Woodmen settlement in the Misty Mountains. On the way there, just exiting the High Pass, his dwarf kin and himself were ambushed by orcs and taken prisoner. While he endured the sight of his kin being roasted and eaten he was rescued by Dorion and Theuderic who were returning from their journey escorting the High Elf Lady Irime to the High Pass, to meet the Rivendell elves and then journey to the sea. Taborak has now pledged himself for a year's service to Dorion and Theuderic.

Hazug is another dwarf from the Blue Mountains who, months later, heard of the terrible fate of his friends (Taborak and company) at the hands of the orcs. He then decided, with some more dwarves, to journey to Mountain Hall himself to join Taborak, and along the route avenge his kin on the orcs. Upon arrival in Wilderland, he was persuaded by Taborak to help the Woodmen in their fight against the Enemy.

The "Battle of Treachery" refers to the battle where one Woodman in Woodmen-town, along with his brother, were taken prisoner by the forces of Dol Guldur near Black Tarn Lake, and one was sent back to the town to spy and make way for a tunneling attack by orcs under the threat of death for his brother. His treachery was discovered just before the Enemy was about to enter the town through deep tunnels and a huge battle ensued, and the Enemy was vanquished.Of course the characters were instrumental.
