Re: Endless Arrows?
I was being a little facetious. TOR doesn't currently have any mechanic that uses percentage.

Re: Endless Arrows?
I meant considering the sauron as an empty quiver only after the fight has seen a few rounds, but the dungeon world model seems fine. I'm not a big fan of counting stuff, though, because I always forget. Dammit, Jim, I'm a Loremaster, not an accountantGlorelendil wrote: Sucks to roll a Sauron on your first shot.
Consider Dungeon World model: ammo 3 (or so) each Sauron reduces ammo by 1.
Re: Endless Arrows?
This all dependes a lot on your likings as LM and group.
I prefer not to count arrows, but I'm not against the possibility of counting them in a long battle, just to add tension to it.
After the hero runs out of arrows, he can swap weapons to melee or spend a round picking up arrows shot by the enemies or from the quivers of dead allies.
But i would do it only in case it added to the emotion of the scene, not for micromanagement. After all, I also don't count rations for travel or how muddy the hero's boots are when entering Thranduil's Hall.

Unless of course, Thranduil is a neat-nick, and said muddy boots increase his Tolerance significantly!Falenthal wrote:or how muddy the hero's boots are when entering Thranduil's Hall.
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Yeah, I've told all my players that I pay as much attention to that as the Professor did. Meaning that 90% of the time it doesn't matter; but when it matters, it matters.Falenthal wrote:This all dependes a lot on your likings as LM and group.

For example, in my Tales game, the heroes are about to be somewhere where the possibility of resupply is about 0%.

Since my wife plays the archer in our group, there will never be a finite arrow supply.

Re: Endless Arrows?
Speaking of endless arrows, I thought that was pretty amusing when in the latest Hobbit movie Legolas, clearly the Mary Sue character of Jackson's films, actually ran out for once!
