Yeah, "The Nine" or even "The Nine Riders" is pretty sweet, especially considering it's for baseball (with nine fielders). Proudfoots/Proudfeet would be great if it was a football team (either kind).
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Shouldn't sports teams be <location><name>? E.g. "Rohan Riders". It's the Boston Red Socks, not the Red Socks of Boston.
