Next Major Campaign Book?
Will the next major campaign (along the lines of The Darkening of Mirkwood) advance the game to the end of the Thirtieth Century (Third Age) or even to the beginning of the War of the Ring? What should be the focus of such a campaign?

Re: Next Major Campaign Book?
I would like to see more books as DoM for other regions. I guess Eriador is far from been interesting in this sense but Rohan could have a good chronicle progressing through the years.
Re: Next Major Campaign Book?
Eriador could work with a campaign focussing on a resurgent Angmar.
I agree Rohan could have an interesting campaign looking at Saruman and the Dunlendings.
Another idea for the future could be based around Osgiliath (occupied by Gondor for most of Denethor's stewardship) and Ithilien.

Re: Next Major Campaign Book?
Has it been mentioned that there's even going to be another Campaign book?
I'd very much like there to be more of these as IMO the Darkening of Mirkwood is the best thing The One Ring line has produced to date. However, the release schedule seems to be going with a setting book and adventures book for each region. The schedule I've seen has what I'd guess is a full year's worth of stuff lined up, with no sign of any Campaign books.
Can anyone confirm or deny if tDoM is going to be a one-off, or if there's something more like it going to be released at some point?

If we all keep buying supplements (preferably hard copies, through C7 or gaming stores) then I'm sure there will be many campaign supplements to come.

Yeah, I am thinking of a campaign based around Gondor and Rohan encompassing the corruption of Saruman and the appearance of his Half-orcs and Mordor's attacks on Gondor including the capture of Osgiliath. Events in Eriador during this period would include the Rangers' Watch on the Shire. This also includes the period of the raid on Umbar led by Aragorn (as Thorongil).

I will post for C7 here to give everyone an official answer.
"Keep an eye on the website."
Sorry, that's a fine line between funny and being a troll.
I would be surprised if they did not come out with another campaign book, but I'd guess that it wouldn't be for 1-2 years.

By 2950 Angmar is all but reminiscence and crumbling ruins, as Arthedain is also gone for long...Murazor wrote:Eriador could work with a campaign focussing on a resurgent Angmar.

Nothing of Worth.
Re: Next Major Campaign Book?
Well of course, but there are all sorts of dark goings on up there in the Rivendell book.
Re: Next Major Campaign Book?
In 2980 Arwen pledges her hand in marriage to Aragorn.
In 2989 Balin settles in Moria
In 2994 Balin is killed in Moria
In 3001 Bilbo gives a hell of a party and leaves the Shire heading for Rivendell
Moria and two celebrations. What more can you ask for a campaign in Eriador?
