I wish PDFs had a kind of "tagged smart search" such that when you type in a term, for example "combat", it prefers chapters, sections, and tables named "combat", rather than weighting every appearance of the word equally.
And/or a more deeply nested TOC, with every table listed and flagged as such. That's something I would volunteer to work on.
Then (as long as I'm dreaming) have an option to base text search off that TOC, rather than on the raw text. That would solve the first problem, too.
