Off Game Topic: Reading TOR PFD books on Kindle
Hello,
Just a question, I like reading physical books, but since I'm playing TOR I buy the de PDF's books. And now I'm tired of reading them on computer.
Anyone with kindle? Is it possible to read big PDF's, coloured with pictures files like TOR files, in it?
Thanks a lot

I don't believe they can be read on Kindle. You can use GoodReader or iBooks to read them.

I have the PDFs on my kindle (e-ink) and they're readable, but barely (lots of scrolling and no good zoom option). I also have them on my 10-inch Android tablet and that's a much more enjoyable experience.

Thanks zedturtle
Very helpful, I'm trying a good, and cheap, solution for it.

Any device that can read pdf's will be compatible with TOR pdf's. They look great on my iPhone 6 plus. The trick is getting them on there. For my iPhone, the most efficient way I've found is to open them from my Google drive app, then I open them in the iBook app, and that process saves them locally to my iPhone. You should be able to do this on any iOS device. I haven't used Android in a while, but I'm guessing it'd be even easier there since you have more overall admin control of the OS. I know nothing about Kindles. If Amazon's locked down their Kindle to the extent that you can't open, save, or view 3rd party PDF's on it, then they've gotten away with the literary equivalent of homicide in the 1st degree

I tried ona Kindle Paperwhite and the result was so-so. They're readable, but sometimes the page background makes things really hard.

I have them on my Kindle (2nd Generation) and they are totally readable when zoomed. That's how I first viewed them for a long time when the game first came out.
Now, I use dropbox on my Android phone and my iPad and open the documents using Acrobat Reader. They look awesome in full color and it is so much easer with the scrolling and zooming controls!

I agree with the opinions above. For computerized reading of PDFs, I prefer a high-resolution tablet. The iPad's aspect ratio of 4:3 is the best for US Letter and A-series pages; the Surface Pro 3's aspect of 3:2 is good; most other tablets have a 16:9 aspect, which works, but wastes screen space. (Unfortunately, my tablet is 16:9. I usually zoom to column width.)

Maybe one solution is for Cublicle 7 to make small device book versions, like one text column text instead of two.
It might not be cheap thou.

That's hugely work-intensive. Laying out a professional document is not simple.
