old and new
Hi everyone quick question is there much difference between the old rule book (the one's in the slip case) and the new hardback rules ?
Re: old and new
Not much, but the great news is that you can download for free a PDF with the changes to the rules from the C7 website.
So, if you already have the old version, just by using this free PDF you can play with the Revised Rules.
But I warn you, once you see the Revised Book, you'll dream about having it day and night...

Yeah, just know that there are some (very few) 'gotcha' parts in the new rules vs. the old rules. As long as he or she is not trying to rules lawyer out of the old book, you should be fine.saltmarsh wrote:I have a new copy of the rules but a friend has picked up an old one and I was just wondering how different the two where

Re: old and new
The new rules are better organized, so it's easier to find like sections together (for instance, the weapons and gear aren't given descriptions in one part of the rules with their stats in another). The Index is far better in the new one, and there's a few rules that are much cleaner and easier to understand in the new one.
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: old and new
The changes were mostly cosmetic or editorial, but we did take the opportunity to revise some of the rules here and there. The biggest change were the hazard rules.
