Awesome map! I love it.
But I agree with Rich. It would be best practical to wait until release of the official material and based on those information create fan, local, more details maps so the community could use them in their home brew works or player hand outs without disturbing C7 rights.
Terrain map with established in game locations is a way to go for now. Options for turning off add-ons is super useful.

As usual, I see a software solution: web-based core map with a bunch of checkboxes for different sets of overlays.

...plus the ability to zoom in so close you see vignettes from Hobbit and LotR.

I found a reference to the ancient Dwarven cities of Belegost and Nogrod in The Lord of the Rings. Consequently, I have rethought my version of the Blue Mountains and edited my previous post (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3494&start=50#p33035), using the fold-out map of Middle-earth from LotR as my topographical reference.

Thanks. I'm just a few days away from the big 3D thingamajig that's been eating up all my time/energy, so this reminder comes at a good time.

I've made another (final?) edit to my earlier post about the Blue Mountains, suggesting a name for the river flowing from the Hills of Evendim into the Lhun. On my map, it would be the Siruial (River Twilight). I also included an alternate name for the line of hills extending from the Southern Ered Luin--the Emyn Sarn (Stone Hills).

Ok, awesome stuff. I'm done my one project but one thing has begat another and I'm about to go out of town again... I'll try to spend some time this weekend on it, but no absolute promises.

Understood. Have fun (if possible) on your trip.

The feature in the Northern Blue Mountains that I previously called CIrith Rerir here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3494&p=33035#p33035, I have re-dubbed Cirith Forod (literally, the North Pass).

That looks very good. Question: By my estimation, of the pair of mountains that stand out furthest to the west in the Northern Ered Luin, I believe that Mount Rerir should be the more southerly of the two. Of course that would mean that Rerir is somewhat diminished from how it appeared in the First Age. Either that or the mountain was split in the cataclysm that inundated the entire range and both peaks represent the remains. Agree or disagree?
