Re: New House Rule Forum
In case anyone din't notice it's seems unlikely that anyone actually has a name like addseo which is normally the province of 'members' who post odd links into the forums to increase the search engine optimisation of whichever site they are promoting. Don't give it any extra benefit and I'll stomp hard on attempts to promote Kitchens or basements as I usually do.

Re: New House Rule Forum
Opposed rolls and Attribute contests?
Let me start with the first - Opposed Rolls. Why set a TN for a PC to achieve when trying to oppose another character? The TN should be the other characters opposing skill roll. The struggle is going to only be as hard as the opponents ability to oppose them, yes? Has anyone re-tooled this rule to something better?
Attribute tests...one PC wants to do something (like jump off a bridge), another PC does not want to let him do that....so, what do we do? Strength versus Strength? Agility, or Dexterity, versus like kind? In TOR would it be Body versus Body? There is nothing given in the core mechanics accept for a cheesy Brawl rule that tells us to just substitute the dagger skill.
So again my question, has anyone thought through this and built a reasonable house rule?
