This.
I like a lot how, in landscapes, people are blurred and small in a wide, wide world. The tiny little details on the horizon and the always present weather (autumn lights, distant mists,...) gives you the eagerness to explore those landscapes. They are Wanderlust pictures, for sure.

Can you imagine a LotR graphic novel illustrated by Angus McBride? Can you? CAN YOU?!
I honestly can't say. As accomplished as McBride was as an artist and painter, I don't know how familiar he was with the visual language of graphic story-telling. Did he actually have much in the way of comics credits?

I've seen graphic novels that are text accompanied by illustrations. Not always do they have the comic format where the whole page is full of illustrations.
However, I would have purchased this
opera prima blindfolded.

Another artist with a personal style: Tory Sevas.
This one is a girl from Moscow that, as her degree project, redesigned The Hobbit with illustrations and a box.
Amazing.
Hire her, Jon!

Very nice indeed. Not sure here modern graphic style would fit in with the RPG but I really like her work.

Lovely stuff. I think I see some influence from the moves, particularly with the Stone-giant and Smaug.

And what about having a box like that for your Revised Core Book, eh?

Oh god that's one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen.
Probably no chance of it ever making it to print, huh?

This might be my favourite one, a kind of "modernization" of Jon Hodgson's cover for Hobbit Tales (kind of
).

All of this.
So much.
The cover of Rivendell in particular, I think is amazing.
