some questions [Adventure Spoilers!]

Post by Bokvakk » Sat Mar 21, 2015 8:56 am

Okay, so in Kinstrife and dark tidings, when my players got to the bandit camp things unfolded a little...different. They got spot, started fighting, and actually did manage to kill many of the bandits. One in the company died, but that Is not important for this tread. I wonder what would happen with the battle later in the adventure. Walter is dead, and also many of his men. Would it still be a battle, and if so, how would it unfold? What do you think?

If Valter is dead, then I doubt the attack would progress. In short, they managed to bring the fight to the bandits, and seems like they somehow got the upper hand.

But remember that the actual objective of the adventure is to bring Oderic to justice. I would end on that note (i.e. the trial of Beorn), and not worry about an attack on Stonyford.
Jacob Rodgers, occasional nitwit.

Yeah - congratulate them on winning in a skirmish what's supposed to require a battle, and move onto the Oderic plotline.

If, later on, you really want to reuse that scene, then some other bandit leader (maybe Valdis from Darkening of MIrkwood) can take over the bandits and try again.

Or Viglund the Cruel.
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.
