Looking for players for a Roll20 game
Hey there everybody! I'm fairly new to this wonderful game (I've only ran a couple games), but I'd love to play more often. On April 10th, due to some... logistical problems with my girlfriend and her car, I'm gonna be stuck at a Dennys from about 5pm till 2 am (or possibly later) Eastern Time, and thought it'd be a good opportunity to get a game going. I'd prefer newbies honestly, partially because I plan to run the published adventures/campaigns, and partially because I don't want to feel like a total idiot :p
But anyways, if anyone wants to play,it's gonna be on roll20. You can bring your own character, or use a pre-made one (the ones from the books). I think it goes without saying, but no Rangers of the North or Elves of Rivendell. Too powerful to start with. But anything else is fair game.
So just let me know if you're interested. Dunno yet if this will be an ongoing thing or a one-off. I might be stuck again on the 12th as well, and if it goes well, I wouldn't be adverse to finding a regular schedule for a game.

Hey I am completely new to this game and I would be interested in playing, it would be great to get some games going on a regular basis.
Let me know if you are still looking for players.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be traveling that weekend, however, if you do decide to start a regular game, I would be interested in joining. I'm not a complete newbie, but I'm not a veteran like some others on the forum. Send me a PM if you decide to start a regularly scheduled game. Good luck with your one-off!

Yeah, sure, you're welcome to join in still. I've got 2 players so far in roll20, and I've got a couple RL friends that might join in. Do you have a roll20 account? I've only used it a few times, so I don't know the best way to invite players yet

Welcome to the forums, Lost_Forest. I'm hoping you're able to get in on a game so you can see how brilliant this game is!Lost_Forest wrote:Hey I am completely new to this game and I would be interested in playing, it would be great to get some games going on a regular basis.

Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

Thanks, I am new to tabletop RPGs in general and I can't wait to start playing.Majestic wrote:Welcome to the forums, Lost_Forest. Cool. That might work in your favour; TOR has some unusual mechanisms that us old guards have to adjust to, it may be easier for you to learn the game without prior RPG experience.Lost_Forest wrote:Thanks, I am new to tabletop RPGs in general and I can't wait to start playing.

Hey, related question (not sure if I should start a new topic or not though). Is there a good quality image of either the Adventurer's Map or the Loremaster's Map that I could upload to roll20 and enlarge and still be actually readable? I tried the images of the maps that were on this page : http://www.cubicle7.co.uk/the-one-ring-maps/
but they were unreadable.

If you purchase the books from a Bits and Mortar store or via C7 you would have the pdf's which are perfectly usable on Roll20.
Some TOR Information on my G+ Drive.

Re: Looking for players for a Roll20 game
I've got the pdfs already. I attempted to upload them and it didn't work, but then again, I might have made a mistake.
EDIT: I guess I could do a print screen and edit out the sidebars and stuff... or is there a way to save a page from a pdf as an image that I don't know about? Because roll20 only accepts jpgs, gifs, and pngs, as far as I can tell. I think it bears mentioning that I am really stupid when it comes to anything regarding images, hence why I'm having so much difficulty.
