Hi all! Fairly new player of TOR here and absolutely loving it! I need clarification on one thing....in Darkening of Mirkwood pg. 83 I quote: "The Lieutenant of Dol Guldur storms out of the fortress with Wargs and Orc-trackers in his wake. Each day, the companions must pass either a Hunting or Stealth roll to evade their pursuers....3 successful tests in a row mean they have evaded the hunters;3 failed tests or a failure with an Eye means the Enemy catches them."
So, is the chase a prolonged situation? Or is it the character with the best Stealth/Hunting roll does the roll, or the character with the weakest roll (chain being only as strong as its weakest link idea). If its prolonged, could someone explain how that works? Thank you all! The books are incredible!
Clarification
Re: Clarification
Hi Caldarion, and welcome!
In such situation I would use something like the rules for ambushing, where you need one success per hero to succeed (page 168):

All players participating in an ambush must succeed in their roll for the surprise attack to succeed and catch their opponents unprepared. A character who obtained a great success on his roll can assist another character who failed his own roll, or two characters on an extraordinary success. An assisted hero is considered to have succeeded in his own roll.

Welcome, Caldarion!
Corvo's method definitely works.
Another way would just be to call for a Hunting or Stealth roll by anyone , and whomever wants to among the PCs gets to make the roll. A success would signify said character leading the others in a stealthy way that avoids being caught for that day.

Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
