Finding a PBP TOR game

Post by Tarondor » Sat Apr 04, 2015 9:15 pm

Hi. This is my first post on these forums. I'm fascinated by the feel and look of TOR and want to run a game of my own, but I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the flow of the rules. Is there a place (here or elsewhere) where I could sign up to play in a Play-by-Post TOR game? I think that would help me out immensely.

Thanks so much,

Scott / Tarondor

It does take a lot to suss out the rules and playing always helps. My games (Beornsvager and Darkening) are full, but we might recruit for Beornsvager at some point soon. I happen to know that someone will be advertising for a game soon... keep your eyes peeled.

If you haven't already, check out my sig here for the FAQs and for my introductory adventure.... it's designed to teach new players/loremasters the game.

Because I also found the flow of the game of interest, I produced these outlines. They're meant to track the letter of the rules, not impose a structure you may wish not to follow.

Stromcrow, I really like your outlines. I shared them with my group because I think that in playing the game it is easy to get caught up in the details and lose track over the overall flow of the game. Thanks for sharing.

I've updated the Encounter and Journey Sequences to show both the original and revised rules.

Let me know if you find anything wrong with them.
