I want to address this very directly, although I know it's a joke. A rumour that TOR supplements have defective bindings is the last thing we need to be propagated, even in jest.
The bindings on the slipcase have shown defects in less than 1% of a
very large print run. And we've replaced those like for like without question or charge.
Tales from Wilderland has had just 2 reported problems across
two complete print runs. That's lower than we would expect from
any print run. Laketown being a stapled pamphlet has had no reported binding issues. Though some folks have messed up the staples to take the map out.

I'm ready for another release now! Delaying it too long will just result in me spending my money on gin and that's not what anyone wants...

They should be hardbacks. And content-wise, I think we didn't prepare you yet for the impact The Heart of the Wild and The Darkening of Mirkwood will have on the line... can't wait!

Thanks for the replies Jon and Francesco. Very excited about the PDF ban lift and the hardcovers coming
up. Just like the rest of us here, we love your line of TOR books and just want them so badly!

Jon, the products you guys have offered for The One Ring are very well put together, unique and stylish, and your commitment to customer service is stellar. Thank you for pointing out the facts to us about the success of the print runs in the larger scheme of things. Sometimes in the world of the internet, a few complaints can seem like a trend and it is possible that potential buyers may become cautious. However, the preponderance of the reviews I have seen for the game are glowing and far outweigh any negatives about bindings. Having said that though, IMHO, I don't think anything could compete with well-bound hard covers. Hard covers and PDFs. Having them would be my ultimate wish...and it seems like those two things are coming true!

I could not have said it better James! I think the communication between C7 and its customers has been class act.

I agree with you about the bindings Khamul. My books are all but falling apart.
The good news is that they announced that the next couple are supposed to be hardbound. This should hopefully alleviate these issues.
