Congratulations for the consistent quality of Other Minds, I have really appreciated all entries in OM17, with special mention to the two adventures, which I will certainly draw inspiration from. Great work, guys !

If I may express personal taste, I would just mention that I'd also enjoy adventures which are a bit less detailed (only adventure seed, plus main challenges, NPCs and locations overview works fine for me) and a bit more 'open', but this is really minor compared to the extraordinary work that has been produced here.

The compliments are much appreciated! For my part, I'm very glad that you like Firs Seed, and it's a great honour that the adventure can be used for your own campaign in some way.

Regarding the level of detail, it is something interesting. If I understand it correctly, you prefer the kind of hooks and plots that appear in Darkening of Mirkwood, over the detailed adventures from Tale of Wilderland, right?

I'm not much of a sandbox-type LM myself, and I prefer detailed adventures and plots -which I can derail from if needed-, but sure there are plenty of ways to make adventures.
Have you, by chance, seen the rules for Wild Adventures, by James R Brown? Maybe they are too random for what you were looking for, but also they might be of some help. You can finde them -and lots of developed adventure ideas-, in the House Rules subforum.

After this was mentioned I have to say, that the published adventures, be they as good as they are, are even not "ready to play" enough. There are no Statblocks for adverseries and you have to make them yourself... So I personaly would like to have them even "more complete".

So, that was just for making a more differenciated overview...

Thanks to the authors, especially "seed..." is a great starting-adventure with a very cubicle feeling.

The Stat blocks for the creatures in 'Darkness over Amon Nyrn' are available in previously published 'official' TOR books. The Secret Shadows, Orcs and Trolls are in the core rules. The Fell Wraith and the Hillmen are in Rivendell. Any that weren't 'official' were provided in a short bestiary at the end of the adventure. :)

Yes, thanks, I knew this. And as stated above I just had to show another view on the subject...

It is a gerenal concept of me, feeling an adventure is only complete, of you do not need any other books (except rules maybe, if you do not know them without). And this I mean not specially for TOR.
I have always this feeling with any RPG-System (which is probably a reminiscence of me beeing german, who learned german RPGs, which almost never have "monstermanuals"). And it extends to regionguides too (of course an adventure can't and shouldn't substitute a whole region guide, but writing an adventure in a city like laketown and just saying "oh look at the regional guide, for any questions your players have..." is kind of cheap).
Please don't feel to criticized by this, the only reason I wrote it, is because I didn't want to let the above statement beeing the only one seen on this subject...

Don't worry, I certainly don't feel criticised. I wasn't sure that you were aware of the existence of the official Stat Blocks and was just pointing you in the right direction. :)

To me, the problem with using texts from Cubicle's supplements is that they are copyrighted. Therefore I prefer not to reproduce the statblocks or descriptions that already appear in their books. Remember that OM's material isn't official in any way. When in doubt, I prefer to err on the side of not stepping on C7's toes out of respect for their work.
