[LFG/LFP] Australian G+ Hangout Game
Hey folks,
I'm looking for australian gamers who'd be down for putting a group together to play The One Ring on G+ Hangouts.
Ideally looking a playing a weekly game from 8pm Sydney evenings (day to be determined).
Interested? Sing out below. Bewdy.

Count me in Giblet! If you read an earlier thread on "anybody still playing The One Ring" I basically told of my frustration at not being able to get a tabletop group together in Melbourne, so I would certainly be interested - Tuesday evenings is currently best for me but happy to consider other times. Still looking for Melbourne players eventually though.
Are you going to be the LM and if so what are you thinking of running??

Yeah I just can't find enough interest in Sydney for a tabletop game either. A shame. Plus life circumstances are keeping me locked down at home in the evenings so I figured an online game would be good.
Tuesday evenings is what I was hoping for.
As for being the LM... look I've been running games for 30 years, but I definitely get the impression that TOR is a little different from your average murderhobo game. There are a number of idiosyncrasies with the system, so I think I'd prefer to play in someone else game first. But if I can't have that luxury then I'll definitely run.
What would I run? Sorta depends on what the players are drawn to. No point setting up an adventure in Esgaroth if they all want to be running around Angmar, is there. I figure get a pool of likeminded players together first and then work it out from there. It's what I did when I ran my grand Middle Earth campaign back when the FotR film came out; I had to bring together a knight of Dol Amroth, a tortured Mirkwood Elf, a Shieldmaiden of Rohan and a Hobbit Bounder. It worked out in the end.
As for this game, I have 3 or 4 people already interested over on G+.

Giblet,
Happy to be LM if you would prefer to play, only thing is I'm not familiar with online roleplaying or with Google+, so would need some help there. If you like I can PM you various Campaign Suggestions that I use with new players so we can all discuss preferred places, characters etc.

OK will send PM to discuss.
And if people in general are looking for players for online games, G+ is your friend! I have 9 interested Oz based players already from there. Enough for two groups.

If you play online, I would strongly recommend the Fantasy Grounds client and Valarian's excellent TOR ruleset. I have been using it with Teamspeak (initially Google+) for the last 8 months. There client is not free, but there are several options for payment. (I have the ultimate license, so all my players play for free.)
Re: [LFG/LFP] Australian G+ Hangout Game
So in the end not one but two groups of Black Numenoreans/Australians are starting up on G+ to play TOR, and thanks to Robin Smallburrow for stepping up to run one of them.
Excellent!
Excellent!

Love hearing that TOR is alive and well down under.

Re: [LFG/LFP] Australian G+ Hangout Game
Reminder: First session starts tonight! 8pm Australian Eastern Standard time.
I plan to just have a bit of an introductory session to Middle-Earth, The One Ring RPG and the pregen characters I have for the adventure, we probably won't be doing any proper gaming until the following session.
The main headaches I have been having is with Google Drive & Google Hangouts - it seems you can't upload anything larger than 30MB to Google Drive - Google Support is terrible!
Anyway, will let everyone know how it goes
