Tales from Wilderland Hardcover Edition - Preorder Now!
Re: Tales from Wilderland Hardcover Edition - Preorder Now!
Sorry. I now understand your point completely: and what you say about page 6 is perfectly valid.
If simply deleting this section left a gap in the TfW book - maybe we could ask one of the art team to consider putting in an example of an encounter - the epitome would be an illustration of 'Riddles in the Dark'. I can only imagine what might be out there.....
Does anyone have something tucked away that would cover about half a page?

Consider someone who has the original rules and only now chooses to buy the Tales scenario book in hardback. Without that section you seem so keen to remove that person would be without valuable information. Backwards compatibility is important.

Section which is already covered by the Clarifications and Amendements document, which that hypothetical person should already refer to, to understand the changes made to TfW... And that person would already find a lot of other strange changes to preliminary rolls, hazard episodes, and the like, if not already aware of that document. Not counting all the wrong page references.

If it bothers you so much, you can use the "Annotate" function in your PDF viewer to place a big blank rectangle over the offending content.Dunheved wrote: Does anyone have something tucked away that would cover about half a page?

Oh I don't find it offends me at all.
I just accept the earlier point that Ghal Maraz made: the page 6 section might not be needed, and am trying to be cheeky and get a bit more art added in!
I am pleased that TfW is going hardcover as well, as all these books get a lot of page turning.

I'm gonna add: sorry if I came across somewhat rude.
It's just that I think this section could be omitted (as I guess the majority of Loremasters are aware of the changes made to the game) or, perhaps even better, slightly altered (i.e. it could go something along the lines of "We're reprinting here the rules for Evaluating the outcome of an Encounter (see The One Ring, p. ...) as they are quite important for the adventures presented herein"), thus not confunding new players and still providing the rules for 'late' slipcased-version owners.

Pre-ordered mine, I have the original book, but yeah, it'll be nice to have the set looking all the same

Keep an eye on the letterbox...
My hard cover arrived today.
A lovely match for the other books.
Thank You C7!
Will the Lake town supplement be incorporated into the same hardback style or might that information go into a new publication, say the planned Adventurer's companion?
