Youtube AP of our DoM: TOR Group
We have been playing nearly a year now, and I can't believe we didn't ever tape it. I forgot about Google Hangout Live. Well now we are taping them, they are unedited, and they have no video, but perhaps you will enjoy it anyway - clanging in the background whilst you are busy in some mundane task. I think we are entertaining to listen to, hopefully you will too.
Note: We are in year 2960, almost had one complete revolution of characters:

Our next episode is up: 103. The players travel to the Halls of Thranduil for Beorn to ask for help to fight the Vigilunds.

This is a raw AP, no video, and I think one of our players wants to practice his editing skills so watch for that.

Thanks for sharing these!

Happy to provide. I did SOOO much. I mean I clicked broadcast. Woo that broke a sweat.
Seriously I wish we would have been taping them from the beginning. Oh well.

Inspiring recording. I am only half way through the first but love the detail and depth with which you take the roleplaying.

@barefoottourguide
Thanks. I am so glad you could pick up my focus. I have really been inspired to make roleplaying the focus of my gaming.
I didn't always. For a long time i have struggled with what kind of LM I am. I didn't know that the main reason I like to LM is to act out a bunch of characters. I thought I had to worry about world development, or rules mastery, but at least with the latter you really can't do that in a TOR game. The world is kinda made for you.
In fact the thing that helped me the most to figure this out was a very short RPG essay from like 1977 http://www.darkshire.net/jhkim/rpg/theo ... lacow.html It talks about the 4 aspects of gamers this guy could see, and I realized I am a primarily a roleplayer. It has helped me to focus on my interest and strength, and I am glad it shows in our recordings.
P.S. In fact about 3 years ago in a D&D game no less I told the guys playing flat out (without having seen the essay) "the most important element is the player character and his or her life." I did not and do not care about crafting the "larger world" I do not care about what is going on if the players are not directly involved with it. The moment I read that first sentence under role playing I thought to myself "I have been doing this wrong all along!"

Well we finally got to play, and it was short cause of death.
Combat is my weakest area as a GM, but these guys always bring it. Enjoy, next session we pick up the campaign with a whole slew of characters.

Thanks for posting these, it's really fun and useful for newcomers to the sport like myself. And for linking the essay.
