Music??
What music inspires you guys while prepping, or during games? I've found some LOTR inspired songs on youtube recently that really give me the feels. I don't know the rules about linking external sources but the two I really like are Song of Durin, and Lament for Boromir.

Re: Music??
During our games I've been playing the CD soundtrack that came with The Witcher PS4 game. I've not really got into the video game at all but the soundtrack is really good.

Re: Music??
My players like me to play Godspeed while we play. It doesn't always fit in, it often gets a little more intense than fits the narrative. But on the whole, it's a pretty good balance between appropriate sounding music and music that my players would generally like to listen to anyway.
Re: Music??
I still very much enjoy putting on Howard Shore's music from the film scores (including the first one for The Hobbit). I have them cycle through (randomly) when we play, but also occasionally listen to them when preparing stuff, as I think they're incredibly good.
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: Music??
I usually put LOTR movie soundtrack and some tracks from the Hobbit Soundtrack.
And sometimes rarely I put the cubicle's own TOR soundtrack or some fantasy rpg soundtracks like Age of Wonders.
I would have put also the masterpiece of Tolkien Ensemble album but it would take away our concentration I think.

Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

Huh. An official TOR soundtrack? Pardon my ignorance, but where would one find such a thing?farinal wrote:I usually put LOTR movie soundtrack and some tracks from the Hobbit Soundtrack.

Jacob Rodgers, occasional nitwit.

Re: Music??
I would recommend the soundtracks for the video games “Lord of the Rings: War in the North” and “Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor”. Both are very atmospheric and cinematic.

As inspiration, I like a band from Brazil called Tuatha de Danann. Their lyrics are about celtic mythology.

Re: Music??
The soundtrack to Skyrim. 3 hours+ of atmospheres, lightly evocative music and a couple soaring, emotional tracks such as:
