Has anyone ever thought about doing a Random name generator for each heroic culture using the suggestions in the books?
For example, you select male beorning and the program responds: Ricfried. I think it would be very helpful for that NPCs created on the fly.

Re: Random name generator
I was inspired by your idea and whipped up something real quick.
TOR Name Generator
Right now, I've used only material present in the source book for the name generator (which means that for certain race/gender combos, there are very few names, such as Dwarf & Elf females.) It also means only the 6 starter cultures are currently available for selection (no Rangers, High Elves, Men of the Lake, etc. yet) Let me know what you think or if it can be improved somehow!

Very good job, mirkwoodfalcon! I was about to make a much simpler and ugly job in Excel, but I decided to check if anyone had ever done a better job.

Re: Random name generator
Added Men of the Lake, Rangers of the North, and High Elves of Rivendell to the generator. (though Men of the Lake just pull from the Bardings pool of names, per the Laketown source book
)
