Enchanted Qualities Question

Both Rune-Scored Armour and Runes of Victory have a mechanic where rolling either an Eye or a G-Rune results in an automatic success, for Protection and Attack rolls, respectively. My question has to do with Runes of Victory. Would rolling an Eye be equivalent to rolling a G-Rune as far as Piercing Blows are concerned? Would it count as 11, which would mean it would not Pierce if Edge was a G-Rune but would Pierce is Edge was 10? Or would it still count as a 0?

Personally, I've always thought it would count as a 0 for Piercing Blows, but would still result in a hit. But it's not explicitly stated that that's the case, and I can see how one might interpret it another way. How have you all interpreted this?

No. Autosuccess, but no Pierce. This has been debated before and I think the devs gave the definitive answer.
