Bumping this one up, as it's come up recently in my campaign now, as the PCs finally took the bait and started up mine.
I had Viglar quite obviously the leader, and it was clear he was drinking heavily. When he was knocked out by our Mirkwood Elf, he ended up dumping out his wine flask (almost did so on his unconscious body). The PCs then rescued the captives and loosely tied up the slavers (enough to slow them down when they awaken). Most certainly humiliating for the Viglundings, especially Viglar, since they outnumbered the three Elves who demolished them by 2 to 1.
The Viglunds
Re: The Viglunds
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).
Re: The Viglunds
Well, we finished our slaver campaign. After the duel, they followed the Viglunds up north and met some Viglund farmers and some Cotters. They wound up stopping a raid on some cotters that ended with them killing Viglar. After some adventures they helped to defend the forest gate against Vilund's army. They left about halfway through to go defend the Easterly Inn from a splinter force, so all but one missed the arrival of Beorn leading an army of bears! At this point the Viglunds are broken and scattered with Viglund himself on the run.
