Celepharn and Iowen told them that they had received important information and had to leave, but that they would like to hear how the matter was resolved. They showed the players a map and marked their keep on the map, telling the players that they would be welcome once they obtained the entire truth.
The party then decided to set out to find Pilgrim and explain the events to him, and see what he made of them. On their way back, they once again passed the site where Dawn Company butchered Stork Company. After rolling a plethora of Sauron Eyes, they did manage to discover that it seemed like a body was dragged from a small clearing in the woods to the massacre site. The path was near the gnarled roots where Odo found the mysterious key. They deduced that Findegil was dragged from the woods, where he was actually killed, to the battleground.
They continued on their way, and camped a short distance outside the hamlet where Hilda was almost hung, only to be ambushed by members of Dawn Company in the night. The Fellowship rolled a ton more Sauron Eyes, Wilfred's dog, Woofred, was injured, and Hilde's horse and saddle bags were stolen.
That was it for this session, that Fellowship phase took a long time!
