The suspense is killing me

A somewhat romanticized account. Tolkien never did want to admit to the existence of the brothels and gambling halls of Esgaroth and Dale (much less all that and the public baths of Minas Tirith).

And of course the Eldar never ever had more than one partner in six or eight thousand years....

I feel that the Gondorian Historian this is attributed to must have gotten his info from Queen Arwen, who cleaned up everything considerably!
