Clarifications and Amendments : Uncomfortable Lodgings

Post by Ghorin » Fri Jan 01, 2016 1:57 pm

Hi,

I'm applying the clarifications and amendments to my rules book and i have a doubt concerning the following chapter :
- Loremaster's book
- Page 35
- Chapter : Uncomfortable Lodgings

The original book says :
On a failure, all companions sleep miserably and are not considered to rest properly for half the length of the journey (they do not recover Endurance).
The amendmend says :
The heroes have made poor choices regarding where to camp and find a shelter for the night. On a failure, the companions sleep miserably and will face harder Fatigue tests.
As the previous text is written in black in the amendment, it means that it is not a modifying the original version. But then where is the truth ?
- they don't recover Endurance during half the lenght of the journey ?
or / and
- they have harder Fatigue tests ?

Thanks in advance for your understanding

It really is a change. In the original version, which presupposes a journey is a single "event" with hazards taking place abstractly during some point, the effect is that only half of all possible Endurance will be regained during the journey.

In the new version, starting at the point at which the hazard takes place, fatigue tests become one level harder (+2 TN).

The words "Wrong Choices" are in red. This means the effect of the hazard is changed. It was not explained very well in Clarifications and Amendments document.

Thank you Stormcrow for this explanation. I have not yet read all the original book as I want to apply the amendments before studying it. This is why i didn't get the big change on the journey rules.
