I'm not very good at making up my own adventures, so I was wondering what I should play between Tales from Wilderland and Ruins of the North.
I'm not sure if I can spin something satisfactory from the the snippets in The Darkening of Mirkwood.
I'm sure I'm not the first person getting to this point. Any thoughts?
What to play between TfW and RotN?
Re: What to play between TfW and RotN?
Is there a particular need for something in between?
Nightmares of Angmar is designed to get heroes from Wilderland into Eriador, so there's no particular need for an intermediate adventure there.
And, while Ruins is designed for more experienced heroes, anyone who's survived the epic conclusion of TfW will probably be able to handle Eriador.

Well, it seems to me that TfW will take me only in to the 2950s, but RotN is - nominally - set in 2977, no?
I could probably set it earlier, but I'd hoped someone here might have fleshed TDoM out a bit ^^

Ah. I understand, now. You might get some use out of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2543&hilit=ideas+expand+Darkening
If you're interested in my expansion of the sketches into game sessions, you can check out the ideas in

Fair warning; I've got a lot of additional stuff in there and I'm not 100% 'By the Book'.
