As I said in the other thread, got my copy just now in the UK. Well wrapped in bubble wrap, card, and padded envelope. turned out to be two copies so one will probably end up for sale at Area 51, Bristol, if anyone in the vicinity wants the copy.

Arrived today - hard back - wowzeewee!

I just hope it is not made from the same ultra-hydrophilic paper as the others as it now stands as the only book not to get a good soaking! The last one managed to pull a spilt glass of water the length of a dining table, even getting the water to flow around a stack of book on taxation, leaving them completely untouched, ensuring every last drop of water ended up in the Tales of Wilderland.

In fact I am now tempted to read this and put it on the highest shelf and continue using the crappy printout of the pdf that seems impervious to everything, even baby food.

Got my copy in UK. Packed in bubble wrap, card and jiffy bag.

Only skimmed it so far, but I will read in the coming weeks.

I have the core box, GM pack and Tales from the Wilderland and getting ready to run the core book adventure in two weeks. I was thinking of waiting for the hard copy of Heart of the Wild unless there's some nice additional information/ideas/hazards to make the introductionary adventure beefier. Should I get the PDF?

Cheers!

Heart of the Wild is greaat asset and a must in my opinion for a Loremaster. If you want to play Marsh Bell you don't need to have Heart of the Wild because the latter doesn't cover that area. If you want more info about the marshes you will find em at Laketown-Loremaster screen sourcebook.

Cats should be the standard measurement of scale from now on

Actually, he looks a bit worried. He must have had a glimpse inside & seen what awaits unsuspecting heroes ;)

That pictures looks beautiful. Can't wait to get my hands on the book!
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

I got a very pleasant surprise when I arrived home from work on Friday evening, especially since I expected it to be a few weeks after the US delivery.

I've been (slowly) reading Heart of the Wild on my mobile since the pdf release and have enjoyed what I read, but let's be honest, nothing beats a well made book in your hands and oh my lordy, this book is absolutely gorgeous. Love the design and feel of the book - as per usual, huge kudos to all involved in the art. It's enjoyable to read, I love the history sections and it IS a great gazetteer for the region. I really enjoy little things like boat spirits to the big things (three spiders come to mind). Well done!

It stands tall amongst the other products you have released. Which brings me to the only really negative point which isn't about the book itself, but please please please... more than one release per year pretty please. It's been a painful release schedule so far when at first we had ambition and promise. I know people have been ill, people are leaving, and other such calamities (Smaug not included). But. just. more. releases. like. now!!!

So to end on good points - it's of the highest quality in terms of writing, art, and product design - looking at the other released books, GREAT JOB so far!

Thank you!

As an aside, Gareth will be missed but I have high hopes the standards will just be as a good, but he will be missed. And hire that Francesco chap some more, he does a good job ;) And that Jon bloke too ;)
