The location of the Forest Dragon?

Post by Mim » Sat Oct 05, 2013 4:55 pm

Does anyone know where the Forest Dragon's lair (p. 71 of The Heart of the Wild) is located on the map?

The text reads: This nameless dragon crawled out of the North three hundred years ago, and dwells in a cave in the heart of Northern Mirkwood.

I don't see it on the map, & wonder if I'm missing the obvious or it's a (rare) editorial oversight? :)

My best guess is that the location of the forest dragon was intentionally left vague because it will be detailed in The Darkening of Mirkwood campaign. Otherwise, we would also have stats for the beast.

My guess is confirmed by the last sentence in the entry: "The Forest Dragon awakens in The Darkening of Mirkwood."
"Far, far below the deepest delvings of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he."

Thank you.

I somewhat suspect that myself, though of course, this means we have to patiently await that release too.

Drats :)
