Staying logged in to C7 forums

Post by Glorelendil » Tue Feb 09, 2016 6:16 pm

Like all of you, I have accounts on lots of websites. Excluding banking and other financial services, the site that most refuses to let me stay logged in is this one. (Yes, I check the "keep me logged in" box.) Sometimes I have to log back in a couple times a day. Most other web sites (e.g. all Google applications) keep me logged in for months on end.

Strangely, it's only on my notebook that this happens; my phone is pretty good at keeping me logged in, although sometimes it, too, logs me out. (Which is extra annoying because typing passwords on phones is a PITA.)

Anybody else experiencing this? Any fixes?

EDIT: "If you have to log in to TOR forums multiple times of day you need to get a life" is not an acceptable answer.

If you have to log in to TOR forums multiple times of day you need to get a life. :P

Seriously, yes, it happens to me sometimes too. There was a period a few weeks back when nearly every time I came here I had to log back in. I was going to post about it too, but then it suddenly improved and recently it's hardly been doing it at all.

I seem to almost never be logged in; I always have to log back in. Same ecosystem as you -- Mac computer, iPhone.

I use Windows/Mozilla Firefox and it keeps me alwasy logged (unless I clear the cache and things like that).

No problem with the phone either, although is an old Nokia with its unique Symbian system.

I've had no trouble staying logged in, both from work computers, or at home via desk computer, laptop, or phone. But all are Windows or Google/Android, as opposed to Mac/Apple, so maybe that's where the trouble is.
Tale of Years for a second, lower-level group (in the same campaign).

I have the same problem - on a Mac. Sounds like that's no coincidence..

I only use Windows (and usually Firefox) and as I mentioned above, I was having this problem constantly for a time. It hasn't happened for a while now, though.

I use various browsers on various forms of Windows (even mobile) with no problem.

My mac and iPhone keep me logged in (I use Firefox on computer, Safari on phone).
