I don't want anyone to drop dead with excitement but last night Gareth Ryder-Hanrahan tweeted "Typo of the night: "The patreons of the Prancing Pony".
Don't know about you but I can't think of many situations where that would come up in his writing and certainly not for Pelgrane (his main gig).

Re: Bree supplement
Good to hear! Hardly a surprise: having done Eastern Eriador, it was pretty easy to guess they were planning to do Western Eriador (including Bree and probably the Shire) sometime.
I do feel Dwarves are getting short-changed though: at this rate they may end up doing the Blue Mountains before Erebor or Moria! I was just saying to my group last night, there are Fellowship Phase Undertakings for most places the main cultures come from, and for people from those cultures, but nothing for Dwarves or Hobbits except the generic ones anyone can do.
I'm really surprised they haven't done anything with Erebor or Dale (though between the Lake-Town book and Rich Harrison's unofficial Dale supplement the Bardings are reasonably well-served), and I hear rumblings of a possible Moria supplement but that seems a long way off.

Re: Bree supplement
Could this (the prancing pony quote) be from the adventurer's companion book, already announced ? I understand there will be several more cultures in it, including maybe Bree people.
And I agree something about Dale and Erebor is kind of lacking, the eastern equivalent of the Bree "hole" in the Rivendell book, not a word on it.

Re: Bree supplement
Indeed, the new Heroic Cultures include: Bree-folk, Riders of Rohan, Dwarves of the Blue Mountain, the Elves of Lorien and People of Gondor. So you may well be right.Mando wrote:Could this (the prancing pony quote) be from the adventurer's companion book, already announced ? Re: Bree supplement
I suspect that most of the books announced are already written and being edited prior to the approval process. It wouldn't make sense for Gareth to be writing a book now that wouldn't be published for two years or so (to include rewrites and play testing). unless it was as part of a rewrite or editorial process. I don't think he does the editing (Andrew's job I believe) even for the TOR material.

True, and he may have only been writing about one of the supplements, not for it (if you know what I mean). It still seems likely to be a reference to The Adventurer's Companion or maybe Journeys and Maps.Hermes Serpent wrote:I suspect that most of the books announced are already written and being edited prior to the approval process.
