I had to spend an inordinate amount of time this weekend checking the forum, deleting spam and banning the offenders. You just need to check the Moderators Logs to see how much activity there was, and I'm afraid this really isn't sustainable in the long run.
Can the Admin please advise what's being done in the background to deal with this?

I wonder why the sudden explosion of spam lately?
Have the C7 forums got onto some sort of hit-list of spammers?
Maybe it's been realised that it is an easy target i.e. no restrictions on joining up and easy to put their c..p onto.
Hard to imagine that it will stop by itself…. it is getting really annoying (to say the least). Not possible to have a Battle of Five Armies or Pelennor Fields to put a stop to them

It depends on the validity you grant to quotes from "History of Internet Middle-earth", even if they are an incomplete work.
