Darkening of Mirkwood this year? Sending out good vibes.

Post by doctheweasel » Wed Oct 16, 2013 6:47 pm

I'm hoping that The Darkening of Mirkwood PDF hits before the end of the year.

I'm itchin' for it (as I'm sure many of you are). The next month or two is the perfect time, what with the film coming out. Our group will be ending its current game for the holiday break, and coming back to this campaign would be a great way to start up the new year.

Now, I love Cubicle 7's work on this game, and I think they are doing everything they can to get their product out in a timely manner. I'm sure no one here wants to see these books hit shelves more than they do.

To that end, I'm sending out the good vibes so that the universe gets things lined up right for them to make it happen. It's more productive than kvetching, more respectful of the wonderful work they have done thus-far, and more pro-community in general.

So who is with me?

(squints hard and pushes fingers into temples) good vibes, good vibes, good vibes ...

Since both The Darkening of Mirkwood and the Rivendell sourcebook were originally projected for release this year, I am hoping that DoM at least makes it out by Christmas. At this point, though, I am not actually expecting it before the first quarter of 2014. Let's hope for a nice Christmas present from Cubicle 7.

I would be mint if it came out.

Though I am still reading Heart of the Wild and would be happy to wait till next year (the early part ;) ) so long as it equals of exceeds Heart. I wouldn't want to sacrifice the quality to meet a release date.

I am really looking forward to the Hobbit Card game and hope Santa is listening!!

I too am very much looking forward to this book and am very hopeful C7 will manage to get it out soon. Here's some good vibe from me, and on a more practical note some wishes of good luck to the C7 staff.

I've yet to actually start playing TOR as my group has kind'a scattered at the moment (we're working to get back together but real life can be a pain), but I'm hoping in the near future to dive right into the game with them, and a 30 year campaign like Darkening sounds like it'll offer us TOR gaming for many years to come.
