As per the title, after many failed attempts to motivate my usual group to take on The One Ring, I decided to go for an online game. (Not all of them have the same love for Tolkien as some of us do, and I did not want to force anything upon them). I will have one or two playing in the game, but I'd like to gauge interest of those here about joining.

I am not sure the exact details regarding the method of play (Skype, MapTools, roll20, ect.) nor the time, but I can offer a few details:

• The official published material will be used in conjunction with house-created stories.
  
• Fan material and supplements will be allowed.
  
• Confirmed are a Ranger of the North and an Elf of Mirkwood.
  
• Heavy character development and roleplay is highly encouraged.
  
• Some form of website, likely Obsidian Portal, will be used to document the campaign.
  
• I am US EST/UTC -5, but I have flexible hours and can likely accommodate for varying time zones.

I don't want a large group, but I am used to handling up to 7 players, so I will say that I have spots for 5 more players. If you're interested, please respond here and I will get in touch with you via private message.

Goodly Curulon, I am most definitely interested in your campaign. I am an avid Tolkienite more than an experienced RPG'er, though I have RPG'd some of ICE's MERP materials (The Northern Waste to be specific) in person and by email w/ Chris Seeman in the distant past. I have all the TOR books, though I have not read of the LM's book. I can play most races, though I'm reluctant to play hobbits. I'm pretty familiar w/ Northmen culture of Rhovanian (and can bone up quickly) and early 3rd Age Dunedain culture of Eriador. I know the history of the Elves from the Awakening forward pretty well. I have two interested parties, but neither are officially confirmed. I am still seeking players.

I would love to play, however, I am only available for a play by forum post format and it seems you are seeking real time play which would keep me out.

Well, I can certainly keep you in mind and when I have more interested parties, I will see if that format would work as well.

I would love to, since I haven't had a chance to play as a PC yet.. however, I noticed you haven't said what part of the world you are in, since this could cause difficulties with time differences and such. Equally, I'm in the middle of university so I wouldn't be able to give time more than maybe once a week for a few hours

I've updated the first post, but I'm US EST/UTC -5. However, I have flexible hours and can accommodate if there are interested players from Europe/other timezones.

I am currently in uganda and having a stable internet connection for skyping may be difficule, and would be very expencive!
