I overlooked Prosperous between Martial and Rich. Consider my previous post edited.Valarian wrote:I would have thought Prosperous rather than Frugal. They trade and the books mention that Dwarves travelled the road through The Shire on a fairly regular basis. There's a trade route between the Blue Mountains and The Shire / Breeland, if not beyond to Dunland.

"Far, far below the deepest delvings of the Dwarves, the world is gnawed by nameless things. Even Sauron knows them not. They are older than he."

Wow high praise indeed. Just makes my mouth more juicy to get it.Rich H wrote:Having now read this from beginning to end, I have to say that it's may favourite of all TOR publications so far. I've never been a massive fan of Dwarves in any fantasy setting but would happily run a dwarf-only campaign using this supplement as the basis for it.
Awesome work and congrats to all the C7 team who worked on this.
Of Finarfin's children I am the last. But my heart is still proud. What wrong did the golden house of Finarfin do that I should ask the pardon of the Valar, or be content with an isle in the sea whose native land was Aman the Blessed? Here I am mightier.

Is there any mention in this book of other Northmen in the Upper and Nether Marches, or in the Northern Dale lands? It's going to be a few weeks before I can purchase this and see for myself.

Yes, there is some new information on settlements that we didn't realise where there, and some tie-ins to places spoken about in other books (like Tales and Heart).Halbarad wrote:Is there any mention in this book of other Northmen in the Upper and Nether Marches, or in the Northern Dale lands? Yep. I certainly could see an all-dwarf fellowship in my future. (Not 13 heroes though, that might be an unlucky number.)Rich H wrote:Having now read this from beginning to end, I have to say that it's may favourite of all TOR publications so far.
