By a bizarre coincidence, I posted this only yesterday in the thread about the announcement of "Journeys and Maps":

This is even better news than the "Journeys and Maps" anouncement (and, of course, more unexpected). Of course all the books for TOR are great -- seriously, the best roleplaying books I think I've ever seen -- but I'm naturally more interested in some than others. I've been hoping for this since "Heart of the Wild", so I'm absolutely delighted!

Of course now I want to see a table of contents, or at least some hints about what exactly will be covered... Us roleplayers, we're never satisfied.

Everyone was thrilled and wowed at the fabulous cover and wanted it this second (of course), but the Barding and the Dwarf players feel like they are really getting a special treat this time.

Not to be a wet blanket, but is there reason to think there will any Barding-specific stuff in this book? I'd certainly like to think so, but the title isn't "Erebor and Dale"...

Of course "Rivendell" covered all of Eastern Eriador, so there's still hope!

It says in the announcement that it covers Dale too.

Super exciting! In spite of my misgivings about the D&D announcement, this sure has been a great week for news. I love that "Erebor" sets a precedent for revisiting areas that have already been introduced and looking at them in finer detail.

Keep it up guys!

Ok, people. This is, in my opinion, the best cover of the TOR books to date. I would hang this on my wall!

I'm nearly in the same position as you with this - out of my 4 players we have a Barding and a Dwarf. Even with the fan supplement for Dale that many here contributed to I've been shy about running adventures on that side of Wilderland. Although I love what people like Kerry and Paul did there's nothing quite like the official version! Really looking forward to this book; I knew it was coming but thought it was a lot further away. Great news.
