Thanks to Rich for taking time to edit this and set it up in PDF form. Top lad!

Thanks to Mim etc for the positive vibes.

@Farinal,

If you look in the latest issue of Other Minds, you will find an article on Demographics and Settlement in Rhovanion. In that article you will find mention of several Easterling groupings. The Hunkarim appear relatively late in the region and they fit the bill for mounted eastern nomads. Tarkhan Yumruk, from the Dale PDF is one of these fellows and their names are 'loosely' Turkic as you have rightly noted.

I have a set of Enemy Stats and descriptions for various of these peoples. If Rich has time and if anyone is interested,I could ask him to work his magic on them.

Lovely stuff! Thank you very much!

I have one comment about the Rangers of the North. The document says they still speak adûnaic, and that some of them know a little Sindarin or Quenya. According to the professor it is actually in a way the other way around.

Following the Akallabêth, the surviving Elendili who established the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor shunned Adûnaic in favour of Sindarin due to the associations of the former with the tyrannical Ar-Pharazôn and his followers. Neglected by the Faithful, Adûnaic (in various forms and dialects) remained the language of the common people throughout most of the west of Middle-earth, and by the time of the War of the Ring at the end of the Third Age, it had developed into the various dialects of Westron.

I went with what was outlined in MERP. In addition, the cultures in the AB have languages of their own in addition to Westron - eg, Dalish and so on. Adunaic was a good fit to match that, but it was mainly from MERP.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading Rich H's "Additional Rules"? I'm getting "Not Found" using Firefox. Character sheet and a couple other links I've checked are working...

Will go and do now! Us H's and all!

EDIT: My copy is OLD, I'm sure Rich would appreciate a newer copy (sans Artwork) from someone who has downloaded it more recently.

Hi Rich,

I was wondering if you "update" from time to time your compilation of fan material with the new things that appear on the forums.

Cheers,
Yepes
