That's the only blank spot that I can find that's anywhere close to a central location. And that is only blank because it is obscured by the map label Rohan & Gondor. If that is not the area that Jon is referencing then I can only assume that this is a practical joke on his part.

On a related note, the label for the Eriador maps does cover a portion of the Blue Mountains that is chiefly significant for including the source of the (Upper) Lune River. That region could also include Noldorian ruins from the First Age, being north of the old fortress built by Caranthir to defend Maglor's Gap. The site(s) of one or more ancient watchtowers seems likely. Such a location would serve as a lair for the Cold-drake that I've placed in the region.

No, I was not talking about a part of the map covered by a label. The part of the map I was talking about is a part of map is not mapped in any of the four maps, the area is between Ash Mountains and south of East Robanion Plains.
In fact there is a second part of unmapped land on the coast of Minhiriath

If I could show it with an image it would be easier to explain, but what I have done is to save the maps in .jpg format, giving them an opacity of 50% and place them to match the common parts and then you see the two areas not covered by any map.
