I have printed the previous maps out at a scale of roughly 2x3 feet and they look great at that resolution.

Nothing ever happen in Lindon...
It's a Tartar Steppe.

But it's not really a big deal, and I love having those rules and the ones for ruins -- the latter may well be used in my very next session...
That was my main concern as well with Lindon and the western end of the Gulf of Lune. I also imagine that some defenses would have been constructed in the days of Gil-Galad on the seaward end of the gulf.

re: resolution of the PDFs.
The Middle-earth Maps PDF supplied with Journeys and Maps is intended for viewing on your computer or e-reader of choice. We haven't supplied them with the intention of accommodating home or commercial printing - and we've priced it accordingly.
The best way to get a nice big physical map is with the physical product as soon as it's shipped.

Sorry but, for those of us that have not english as first language:
What's the hidden meaning of Wang or Wetwang?
In spanish is "Cancha Aguada", but there's no joke in it.

In English, "wang", as mentioned, is an old word for a field or flat area, and of course that's how Tolkien was using it, borrowing the name (Wetwang) of a real place in England.
But that meaning is archaic and most people have never heard of it (I only knew of it because of Tolkien). In modern slang, it means, er, something entirely different!

While not as nice as the maps from the old set I had printed and laminated the original pdf players map at roughly the same size as the supplied maps so that players could use it without damaging my preciousssss. It worked out fine and I still have the maps in close to mint condition which I wouldn't if I had to keep folding and unfolding them. I use the pdf's to clip out sections to put in my notes for any particular adventure I'm running so I can do Travel calculations without giving anything away to the players. I also place locations on there that are extra to the ones in the supplements and write notes around them for my own reference which I wouldn't do on the original maps.

I like having a printed copy of the maps that can be written on and updated without ruining the original which I keep securely in the original slipcover set.
