Oh, I'm fairly sure that there is nothing in Tolkien's legendarium about Dwarves in the mountains next to the Sea of Rhûn. I was wondering if our game designers might have placed some there. The existence of a road stretching north from the mountains to the river implies that this might be so.Finrod Felagund wrote:As far as I'm aware, there's nothing in canon to argue one way or another. For what it's worth my views are:
1) Maybe for Dwarves, and maybe for some influenced by the enemy. Other Minds did a history of Dwarves; I haven't checked recently but my memory is that they didn't have any around Rhun but I might be wrong about that. However if you want to put some there, then go for it!
2) Trade routes from Rhun using the old road North of Mordor and into Ithilien seem likely to me. Sauron is back in Mordor but he's being very quiet. Give it a few years though and his conquests in the East, and they're likely to close.
Just my personal opinion!

On the maps of Eriador, is the region between the northern Blue Mountains and the River Lhûn mislabeled? It seems to me that it should be called West Lune. East Lune should be the lands between the River Lune and the Hills of Evendim, which are currently only labeled as Lone-lands.

Coming back to this: If you feel the need to have names for some of the features of Forlindon, I suggest that the bay in the north of Forlindon might be known as the Bay of Thargelion. Forty or fifty miles to the north would be the site of Mount Rerir. I call the river that empties into the harbor of Forlond the LInduin (Singing River). You might prefer Vingelion (New Gelion) or just Gelion, after the river that flowed through a similar course in Beleriand before it sank. Thirty miles south of the river's source is the site of Mount Dolmed. The ruins of the Dwarf-cities Belgost and Nogrod would be on the eastern side of the Blue Mountains opposite from Dolmed.Earendil wrote:Anyway, the book and maps look really good. I would have preferred to have the coast of Lindon fully depicted, especially since we now have rules for sea travel! But it's not really a big deal, and I love having those rules and the ones for ruins -- the latter may well be used in my very next session...
The final line of mountains that runs from west to east might be known by the Lossoth by a name such as the Spine of Forochel. I have it nicknamed the Bend, but I'm not sure that I really like that.

I did a calculation from the date of the preorder of Riders until arrival and if this is the same for Journeys, then we should see the package in the 4th quarter of June! NOT THAT FAR AWAY NOW!

Not to add any shadow points to this thread...
Unfortunately, some places seem to be completely forsaken... does this happen to other people here?
I'm in Uruguay, and it takes too much time (a lot, many months) for the books to be offered in Amazon. This time Amazon does not even have pre-order like they had for some of the previous books. Cubicle7 does not ship here. Things like Miami-box and stuff charge too much, because of book-weight.
I'm kinda disappointed to the whole process, from the time a new book is announced to the moment I can purchase it... Too much hype is allowed to grow... and it dissipates before the book arrives.
I love the game, books are awesome. I got them all... and will continue gathering this art treasure. BUT... every time I see a new book announced, it's a mixture of awe and anger because I know I won't get it for more than a year (or more, I think Riders was announced in 2015's 1Q... or April).
Oh well... my players and I will have to keep waiting.
If this happens to other people and there is some solution... store that gets it sooner than Amazon and provides similar shipping, please let me know.

Have you dropped C7's customer service a line about this - they might be able to help or offer alternatives? You can find them at info AT cubicle7.co.ukAashdallar wrote:I'm in Uruguay ... Cubicle7 does not ship here.

Would the PDF be included if we pre-ordered outside, such as at Cool Stuff Inc?

As I understand it, the PDF should be included if the retailer is a participant in the 'bits and mortar' program. Otherwise, you might have to purchase it separately.kdresser wrote:Would the PDF be included if we pre-ordered outside, such as at Cool Stuff Inc?

Is there a list of retailers that are involved in the program or a way to tell from their website? Does the same go for the core rule book, etc?Otaku-sempai wrote:As I understand it, the PDF should be included if the retailer is a participant in the 'bits and mortar' program.
