It's too bad that The Adventurer's Companion has moved so far down the list, but at least we can expect Horse-lords and Journeys & Maps for this Summer.

Not surprising when you consider how much, and how wide-reaching, the content in it could be and it pretty much all being system-based. I can imagine there are real challenges making sure it's all play-tested and hangs together as desired and also doesn't create cul-de-sacs in the future for the system.

It is not, and has never been, a sequential list.

At least I've got my hands on Rohan and Journeys, that'll make the waiting easier. (No it won't. I want all of it now.)

Good; then there's still hope that we'll see The Adventurer's Companion this year and possibly even before Oaths of the Riddermark. I'm glad of it. I really want to see those new Heroic Cultures, but will it really just reprint the Riders of Rohan from the Horse-lords volume?

Hmmm, no mention of the 5e book even though it's been announced.

Does that mean it is going to be its own brand, rather than part of The One Ring brand? (or am I just reading too much into things?)

I think you're right. That is my understanding.

It is. For some reason I was thinking that the Heroic Culture presented in Horse-lords of Rohan used a different name. Maybe there will be a change in the Companion or perhaps we will at least be presented with a variant culture for Rohan. Might it instead present the material on the Corsairs of Umbar that was omitted from Journeys & Maps?

I think this is the same text we've had for the AC for a while now, so the Rohan bit may be out dated and subject to change. I will second the hope for Umbar.

The Adventurers Companion will contain the Riders of Rohan culture. It is Intended as a players supplement, so covers all the published cultures to date, along with some new ones.

The idea is your players will grab a copy for their own reference, while not necessarily needing the core rules.

I have recently taken the time-saving measure of having "The 5e Middle-earth game is not part of, nor replaces, The One Ring, which continues as a fully independent and supported game line" tattooed onto my face.

I now realise just putting it in my forum sig might have been a better plan. Oh well what can you do?
