Signs of life:
Man, I'm really not liking that map of the Falrock. I tweaked it, but I'm absolutely not happy with it. I think I'm going to do it over (again).
The grey box represents some special artwork, which hopefully I'll be able to make arrangements for... I've got something particular in mind.

We finished playing through the Theft of the Moon yesterday.
So far the Viglundings won the battle at the Falrock and are still holding the Sickle. One PC fell against "the Wicked" and I'm not sure if using no Quarter or not... It's a Dwarf trying to avenge his brothers death to the hand of the Viglundings (last year his brother died fighting the Viglunding while defending the Forest Gate). It would be too harsh for the player.
Anyway. I'm looking forward to the complete, final Heart of Winter!

Thanks for the kind words, it's most appreciated.
I'm a bit swamped with other projects at the moment, but I've never forgotten about this one, and I hope that someday (soon? soonish?) it will be completed. It will, however, probably be the last of its kind.

Just wanted to put in that I'm going to be running The Theft of the Moon in the evenings at a Tolkien Studies academic conference in June. Very much looking forward to the whole "Heart of Winter" whenever it's out.

Cool! I presume that's Mythmoot? I would have loved to attend, but logistics made it impossible this year. Maybe next year...

Sorry for the thread necro, but this adventure is too good to be left in the file of Unfinished tales... Zed, is there any progress on this? And if not, would it be possible to get hold of the parts that were finished; the links and images don't work anymore.
My players are moving North and are aware of Viglund, Black Tom and the conflict. But I've realized that my own writings on the matter is scarce and this adventure would be the perfect background.

This adventure truly was well made. It took the good things from Theft of the Moon up a notch. I hope C7 might find a way to publish it as a standalone, or if they have a mix of random adventures they throw together.
Anyway, hopefully Zed will be able to share more.
