free rpg day

Post by killianred » Sat Apr 16, 2016 1:53 am

Someone said free rpg day is coming, not sure of the date. I was thinking about running a TOR demo at our FLGS. Does anyone have a good short demo adventure?

Well, officially, there's The Marsh Bell. And Words of the Wise, if you've got it.

Unofficially, Theft of the Moon comes with eight pregenerated characters (no downtime for character creation) and I often am able to run it in 3ish-4 hours and it could be made shorter by cutting the Trials down to one day's worth (probably the second day).

I think I have heard of this one, didn't they use it at GenCon last year? Anyway, looks like it would be great, thanks!

Just for clarity... Theft of the Moon is unofficial and my own thing. Not endorsed, affiliated or anything like that.

But I did run a couple of sessions of it at GenCon last year and other folks have run it at various cons, yes. :)

no problem being unofficial. I just want a good basic demo. Not very many people in our area are interested in RPG's so may not even have anyone show up. But if they do, I think this will work well. Again, Thank'e

Just downloaded Theft of the Moon and it's pretty well done. Thanks for sharing this! :D
