The One Ring demo at Tast de Rol, Celrà (Girona), Spain

I'll be conducting a demo game of TOR the 14th of May in the small con of Tast de Rol, in Girona.

The adventure is of own creation, "First Seed of a Great Forest", specially written tor introduce TOR to new players. Based in Lake-town in the days prior to the Dragontide, the characters will be taken driven to somewhere in the dreaded Mirkwood...

I've had a chance to have an advance look at the adventure, and anyone who attends is in for a very interesting time... and the adventure sets the stage for many things to come.

Well, the demo went really well: 4 players, two of which already had the slipcase rules but hadn't really played the game before. One of them even told me that he wanted to stop buying every rpg that came out to the market, and focus on 2 or 3 games. After the demo, he asked me for advice on which TOR books to buy next, as he was sure TOR would be one of those selected few lines he'd follow from now on.

The other one asked me for the adventure, as he'd like to LM it to his gaming group and try to convince them to play TOR.

Great time and great roleplaying! Step by step, TOR is being known a little more in my lands.

Girona is a 3 hours drive from where I live (Toulouse). If I spoke spanish, I'd join such events !

The adventure, which I will try to LM a few more times, and modify and improve accordingly, will probably make it to Other Minds Magazine. Not for next issue, which is already full, but for the next-next one (2017?).
