DOM Adventures Compilation

I present you a little project of mine:
I gathered as much official and unofficial adventures as I could to create a solid basis to the Darkening of Mirkwood campaign. Remember, it's not meant to be follow perfectly, just to create a basic linearity, as which group has its own way of playing.
Originally I did it for my personal use, not intending to post here or make it public, for that reason I didn't focus as much as I should in giving the adventure's creators the proper credit. With that in mind, I ask you to comment if I missed someone, so I can edit it. One more note: It was adapted to my group, we do 3 adventures/year, and you can notice that some adventures are missing (most notable zedturtle's) as we had already played them.
I'd be awesome to complete the remaining 18 blank spots with adventure ideas!

  • *Many ideas are just what I described of the "Plot" so it's up to the LM to develop them;
    **Adventures marked with " " are names I created for unnamed adventures (mainly Wild Adventures);
    ***I sorry for the horrible layout
Some useful links that I used:

A idea to include more adventures is to push back the ROTN and OTR (as they can go up to the 80s) and put more non-official (usually around 50-60s) ones

Great!

Even if a group plays only 1 or 2 adventures per year, it's very interesting to have three different "story lines" so that different options can be presented to the players. For example, after a Year's End Fellowship Phase at Rhosgobel, they can decide wether to help Bofri reopen the Old Forest Road or heed the plea for help from the Beornings that are preparing to battle the Viglunds at the Forest Gate. Whatever they decide to do, the other adventure/plot will be resolved without them playing a role in it... which can turn for good or bad, and be known by the players during the next Fellowship phase.

It would be very dramatic if the company got the feeling that they can't reach everything, everywhere: if they help the beornings against the Viglunds, Una will be murdered in Lake-town and King Bard will become ill. Also the Werewolf might kill lots of woodmen and even some dwarves working on the Old Forest Road.

When next year they decide to hunt the Werewolf, then maybe the Viglunds will get a few minor victories against the Beornings...

I didn't take this in consideration when I decided to do 3 adventures/year, because I wanted them to experience everything. However that's actually a pretty nice way to put some randomness and even chaos :shock: in the game.
I might change it for this reason...

It's like a big "Choose your own adventure" book: you could run the same campaign with the same people three times, and different things would happen! :D
