Dunedain Regaining Hope

Post by steve68 » Tue May 17, 2016 8:29 am

Bar having a Fellowship Focus, is there any other way a Dunedain can regain spent Hope as they cannot use Fellowship Points to recover lost Hope.
Sorry if this has been answered before, did a search but found nothing relevant.

Thanks
Steve

There are a couple of fellowship phase undertakings that a Dúnadan (one of the Dúnedain) can use to regain a point or two of hope (e.g. visiting the Kingstone - HotW pg. 60).
European FG2 RPG
Using Ultimate Fantasy Grounds - that means anyone can play.

Also in the Rivendell sourcebook you'll find some Undertakings only for Rangers that allow to regain some Hope. And the There And Back Again Undertaking is open to everyone, even Rangers.
Between regaining Hope, and reducing Shadow, the Ranger's Undertakings will clearly be very limited in variety. That, and/or they should really think twice everytime they're about to use Hope, and increase Wisdom early to avoid as much Shadow points gain as possible.

Rivendell also has researching in the records of the House - which can (but seldom does - <G> & a 6 are needed) restore 1 hope.

Sorry for the slow reply, but thanks to all, pretty much what I expected, the Rangers in my fellowship are going to be less profligate with their I hope from now on I think :-)
